Cookies on this website

swedishlapland.com uses Google Analytics as a tool to get an insight into how visitors use the website by collecting statistics. The data is used to optimise the website content and features, to be able to provide the best user experience possible. This is done anonymously through IP-masking, which obscures part of your IP-number. This means it is not possible to identify a single individual’s user pattern, since all the data we collect is anonymous. Google will not use your abbreviated IP address with any other Google data.

The website also has Twitter and Facebook snippets and WPML plugin. Facebook and Twitter can store cookies if you are logged in there at the same time. We use these services to make it easier for users to share content from the website to their social channels. Information on how Facebook and Twitter use cookies can be found on their respective websites. As well as embedded content from YouTube or Vimeo. WordPress and WPML control webpage functionality and ensure your browser remembers your language preference for the website, among other things.

Cookie and purpose

_ga Google Analytics. Used to distinguish visitors Persistent cookie that expires after two years.
_gat Google Analytics. Used to optimise the performance of the _ga cookie. Session cookie that expires after 10 minutes.
_gid Google Analytics. Session cookie that distinguishes visitors. Expires after 24 hours.
PHPSESSID WordPress/PHP. Session cookie, deleted as you close the browser window. Mainly used so the administrator can stay logged in when updates are made.
_icl_current_language WPML. Makes sure users keep their chosen language while using the site. Saved for 24 hours.

Remarketing

Sometimes we run campaigns through Google Adwords, also known as Remarketing campaigns, to promote our destination and tourism companies operating within the destination. A cookie from the website is then stored in your browser meaning Google can show you ads they think you might be interested in, for example our ads, in their Display Network. The information cannot be traced back to individual users. You can choose not to see these adverts when you use Google products, such as YouTube and their search engine. This only applies when you are logged in to your Google-account, but when you are logged out you can add a plug-in that saves your choice to opt out on customised ads.

Your rights

Visitors to laponia.se can feel safe in the knowledge that we do not gather any information that can be tracked back to individuals. If you get in touch with us per e-mail, for example, we do not send your message or your personal information to any third part without your express authorisation.

Integricy policy

Laponia Rederi collects personal data such as name, adress, e-mail, and phonenumber. We also collect personal data from your correspondance with us. We never spread the data to other companies, organisations and third part persons.

We do sometimes use the data for marketing and information about our business.

We save the data in the Company for as long as present year plus two years.
